Today was the last presentation to our peers. It has been an emotional day with some amazing reflections of peoples journeys (the lack of sleep was probably to blame for my emotional breakdown).
I also recieved my last feedback from my PGCE tutors which was rewarding and sobering experience, mainly because it made me think, where next?
Before the PGCE I had gone through a challenging year at King Charles where we went through special measures to outstanding within one year. Quality Assurance was really embedded within this year with multiple observations from the supportive SMT and County teams. I thought that this experience had prepared me for my PGCE and whist it had, it also provided me with a bit of a back bone to recieving criticism. There was still the monitoring, IVing, marking and assessment to be done, but the observations within the PGCE I felt were more about a reflection of me and my journey.
Some of the relieved team at King Charles

The observations within the PGCE have really enabled me to take the comments forward with my practice and inform my future in teaching. I therefore see todays presentation as not the end but the beginning to the next adventure.
My Students have made me appreciate every moment and they are the people that I am accountable to, aside from the teams, parents and overall college. I know through reflection in and on action (Schon) whether what I am doing, has made a difference. There are exciting doors opening for me to walk through and which one is the right one will be revealed in time.
Below are some special moments that I wanted to share.
Peer observation of one the most wonderful individuals on the course, beautiful inside and out, you are an inspiration to your students
